Design for a Meal plan Brand

When good food needed a brand that actually matched the grind
Working with The Nutritious Bros was one of those projects where I could instantly see the gap.
And I see this all the time with food + fitness brands. They’re putting in the work behind the scenes. prepping meals, building community, showing up but the brand doesn’t reflect that level yet.
So people hesitate. Not because the product isn’t good…But because the perception isn’t there.
That’s where I came in.
The real problem is not what you think
When they first showed me their packaging and flyer, it wasn’t “bad.” It just wasn’t doing its job.
And that’s the key difference most business owners miss.
Design isn’t there to decorate your business. It’s there to help people make a decision faster.
Right now, their design was:
A bit cluttered
Not guiding the eye
Not making the offer instantly clear
And in a space like meal prep? You’ve got seconds. Literally.
If someone’s standing in a gym fridge or scrolling quick…You either click or you don’t.
So we shifted our focus... and it worked
I didn’t come in trying to reinvent their whole brand.
We worked with what they already had just made it smarter.
The meal sleeve design needed to do one thing first:👉 Tell you exactly what you’re getting
So we:
Cleaned up the layout
Prioritised key info (meal size, category, product type)
Used stronger imagery with breathing space
Made room for the nutrition label without it feeling crammed
Now it feels like a product you’d trust… not question. We had to work inside a printer dieline, which means:
Exact measurements
Bleed + safe zones
Folding structure
This is the stuff people don’t see… but it’s what separates“looks good on screen” vs “actually works in real life.”
New Menu in coming
They had a new menu item coming in.
Instead of just slapping on a label, we designed a sticker that:
Fits seamlessly into the brand
Stands out on the packaging
Feels like part of a system (not random)
Because consistency = trust. Every time.
The flyer glow up
They had already created a flyer themselves. And honestly? Respect. Most business owners try first and I rate that. But something felt off to them.
So I took:
Their content
Their photos
Their message
And reworked it into something that actually flows. We:
Simplified everything
Created hierarchy (what do I read first?)
Gave each element space
Made the offer clear in seconds
Add a QR Code so that they can shop online instantly
Now it’s not just “nice” it’s conversion-led.
The difference between doing okay and ready to scale
There was a moment during this project where I could feel the shift. Not in the design files. Not in the packaging. In them.
At the start, it felt a bit like… “we’re trying things, seeing what sticks.”You could tell they believed in the product, but there was still a bit of hesitation in how they showed up. Then as we started refining everything. Simplifying the packaging, tightening the message, making things actually make sense something clicked.
They started moving different. Speaking about their business with more certainty. Showing up with more confidence.Back themselves a bit more. And that’s my favourite part of what I do. Because it’s never just about making things look better. It’s about helping someone see their business for what it actually is…and realising it’s got way more potential than they were giving it credit for. That’s what strong branding does.
It closes that gap between where you are right now…and where you know you could be if everything just felt right. If you’re in the fitness or food space, you’ll get this. You can have an elite product. You can be putting in the work every single week. But if your branding feels rushed, inconsistent, or like an afterthought… people pick up on that instantly. They hesitate. They question it. They scroll past.
Not because your product isn’t good but because your brand isn’t helping them believe it yet.
And no, you don’t wait until you’re bigger to fix that. It’s the opposite.
Working with The Nutritious Bros just reinforced something I see all the time.
You don’t need to burn everything down and start again.
Most of the time, you’ve already got something good.
It just needs to be clearer. Stronger. More intentional.
When that clicks, everything else starts to move differently.
